Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council is seeking 6 exceptional Advanced Practitioners to join our Children and Families Social Care Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for confident, skilled professionals with a passion for practice leadership, quality assurance, and mentoring others to deliver the highest standards of social work.
About the Role:
As an Advanced Practitioner, you will:
- Offer practice leadership and support to less experienced social workers.
- Manage a complex caseload while modelling excellent social work practice.
- Contribute to quality assurance, audit activities, and service development.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and multi-agency partners to safeguard and support vulnerable children and their families.
- Play a pivotal role in embedding reflective, evidence-based practice across the team.
What We're Looking For:
- A qualified social worker, registered with Social Work England.
- Minimum three years post-qualifying experience in statutory children's services.
- Proven ability to manage complex cases and provide practice guidance to others.
- Strong communication, assessment, and leadership skills.
- Two detailed, practice-based references are required prior to engagement, using the standard agency reference template.
- Submission must include a completed declaration form from the candidate's agency.
