Job Title: Mental Health Therapist (LCSW/LMSW/LMFT/LMHC) - Bilingual (Spanish)
Location: Brooklyn, NY (South Williamsburg area, 11206)
Schedule: Full-Time (35 hours per week), 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, On-Site
Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate, and dynamic mental health professional to join our Senior Mental Health Program. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (Spanish) and passionate about providing high-quality therapeutic services to older adults aged 60+ in senior centers across Brooklyn. You will be working within a supportive, collaborative team, delivering individual and group therapy to seniors facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, and social isolation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Individual and Group Therapy: Provide compassionate therapy services to seniors, both one-on-one and in group settings, with a focus on encouraging participants to open up about their mental health challenges.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic records and documentation for each client, adhering to agency and regulatory standards (strong computer skills are required).
- Collaboration and Team Meetings: Actively participate in mandatory team meetings, clinical supervision sessions, and CEU-accredited in-service trainings.
- Engagement with Seniors: Lead group therapy sessions and present topics relevant to older adults, promoting open dialogue and creating a comfortable space for them to discuss their mental health concerns.
Required Qualifications:
- Licensure: LCSW, LMSW, LMFT, or LMHC (must be licensed to practice in New York State)
- Language: Must be fully fluent in Spanish (not just conversational)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience working with older adults, preferably in a social work, case management, or counseling role
- Skills: Ability to lead group therapy sessions, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Comfort and patience in working with seniors who may experience anxiety, social isolation, and other mental health challenges.
