Role Overview: As the Social Media Marketing Manager, you will architect Pit Viper's organic social presence, crafting compelling narratives that position us as a culture and trend leader. You will lead a dynamic team, drive strategic planning, and ensure our brand's essence resonates across all platforms and touchpoints. Your expertise will cement Pit Viper as a category disruptor, setting industry standards and shaping consumer perceptions.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Leadership & Vision :
- Own and evolve the overarching social media strategy for TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and Facebook, aligning with the brand foundation and business objectives.
- Success in social media requires flexibility and a data-driven approach to quickly adapt to trends and capitalize on opportunities.
- Champion the brand's values, ensuring its visual identity, tone, and cultural relevance become a powerful differentiator that influences consumer behavior.
- Must be ingrained in all aspects of the marketing funnel, cater to a wide range of consumers and demographics, be objective, and avoid personal bias when making decisions that impact the brand.
- Collaborate with the VP of Brand to develop, refine, and amplify strategies across the ever-changing social media landscape.
- Research and vet emerging and under-leveraged social platforms and trends to ensure that Pit Viper is reaching target customers through the proper platforms and taking advantage of the latest platform features and consumer trends.
- Lead the development of a comprehensive, long-term Social Marketing strategy aligned with Pit Viper's business objectives. Serve as the primary thought leader and expert on cultural trends, ensuring the brand remains at the forefront of relevant cultural movements and social innovation. Identify new opportunities and innovations in culture marketing to enhance brand relevance, reach, and engagement.
- Content & Community Management :
- Define and implement content standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency, quality, and relevance across all social touchpoints.
- Lead content ideation, creation, and follow-through, including original content, user-generated content, and curated athlete, ambassador, and influencer content.
- Oversee community management practices, seeking opportunities to create special customer moments and foster brand advocates.
- Maintain and increase engagement on all platforms.
- Develop shot lists and social plans for promotions.
- Influencer Marketing & Partnerships :
- Design and implement influencer campaigns that integrate seamlessly into broader marketing initiatives.
- Foster long-term, authentic relationships with influencers that embody Pit Viper's values.
- Manage relationships with third-party creators and provide strategic oversight of our ambassador partners, ensuring amplified content aligns with brand standards, creative direction, and marketing goals.
- Negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and oversee deliverables.
- Performance & Analytics :
- Utilize a data-driven approach to measure the success of social media strategies, tracking KPIs such as reach, engagement, and follower growth.
- Audit social media monitoring/measurement tools and implement enhancements as needed.
- Deliver monthly audits and quarterly reports to assess performance against benchmarks and social KPIs.
- Using social media management platforms to report KPI's.
- Team Leadership & Management :
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing social media team.
- Maintain platform schedules and be a resource for content ideas, captions, responses, and interactions.
- Develop content creation skills within the team.
- Financial and administrative responsibilities :
- Manage social media budget, supporting paid social campaigns, contest/promotions, and surprise and delight activations.
Required Skills & Experience: - Proven track record in leading high-performing social media teams and optimizing content strategies for lifestyle consumer brands.
- Deep understanding of the social media landscape, including TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Expertise in influencer marketing strategy and integration with organic social media.
- Strong understanding of consumer insights, innovation, and data-driven strategy.
- Exceptional content creation and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities.
- Passion for action sports, youth culture, and the Pit Viper brand.
- Ability to distill and amplify a unique brand voice.
- Experience implementing new strategies and themes for platforms.
