We're seeking a digital-savvy Social Media Manager who can translate our ethos into standout content and strategy across platforms.


About the Role

We're looking for a Freelance Social Media Manager who lives and breathes digital culture-and knows how to turn it into engaging, effective content. You'll oversee the full social strategy and execution across our portfolio, with a focus on community growth, brand storytelling, and sharp editorial voice. This role is ideal for someone who brings a mix of creativity and structure, and is confident both behind the camera and behind the scenes.

This is a hybrid freelance role requiring 1-2 days on-site weekly at our properties in Los Angeles.


What You'll Do

  • Own and manage the social media calendar across all LAM Ryan properties (Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms)
  • Create, curate, and schedule content that drives engagement, reach, and brand awareness
  • Capture photo and video content on-site regularly (1-2 times per week) for real-time storytelling
  • Collaborate with in-house chefs, GMs, designers, and leadership to create campaign rollouts and support key initiatives
  • Analyze and report performance metrics; adjust strategy based on insights and trends
  • Stay ahead of social trends, sounds, and formats that align with our brand tone
  • Engage with our digital community, respond to DMs/comments, and support influencer/press visits
  • Support occasional paid partnership campaigns and activations with our PR and marketing teams

  • What You Bring

    • 3+ years experience in social media content creation and strategy (hospitality or lifestyle a plus)
    • Strong visual eye and editorial voice-especially for Instagram and TikTok
    • Skilled in creating reels, short-form video, and light editing using tools like Canva, CapCut, VSCO, Lightroom
    • A natural feel for timing, aesthetics, and storytelling through content
    • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently on deadlines
    • Based in Los Angeles with ability to visit locations weekly for content capture
    • Passion for food, culture, hospitality, and brand-building
