Job Title: Social Media & Marketing Intern - Peak Events

Location: Allen, TX

Position Overview:

Peak Events is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Intern to join our team for the upcoming year. This internship offers opportunities to gain experience in grassroots marketing, digital marketing, and social media management. The ideal candidate is an outgoing, social-savvy individual who is a self-starter and enjoys sports, especially the game of baseball.

This is an unpaid internship. However, all subscription-based software/apps that are necessary for the position will be provided by Peak Events.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and grow the overall social presence of your assigned event on Instagram, X, and Facebook by developing and executing social media strategies.
  • Create engaging content including graphics, highlights, interviews, and short-form videos.
  • Utilizing Later, schedule posts to create a smoother workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date with current social media trends in sports and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Attend and assist with marketing efforts at games of our MiLB team partners and other events here in Texas, primarily in Frisco and Round Rock.
  • As possible, attend weekly meetings both virtual and in-person to better collaborate with the Director of Social Media & Marketing and the Peak team.
Requirements:
  • Current student or recent graduate with education in Communications, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of major social media platforms (Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok) and their best practices.
  • Experience with photo/video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, iMovie) is highly preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of baseball rules, terminology, and culture is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
