Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and talented Social Media Manager to join our team. In this role, you will lead and execute our TikTok strategy and content initiatives. As a member of the Social team, you will collaborate with our Social Media Manager and report directly to our Social Media Director.
HYBRID: This role is classified as exempt from the Fair Labor Standard Act's overtime requirement, and is open to candidates based in the United States. While the position is primarily remote, it follows a hybrid schedule requiring occasional in-person work at Culver City, CA 90230. The role requires working in PST hours, so candidates located on the West Coast are preferred. A reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace free from significant distractions are essential for remote work.
What You'll Do: Essential Job Functions
Strategy & Planning:
- Lead the development and execution of an organic TikTok content and publishing strategy, continuously adapting to trends and platform changes. (Platform focus subject to change.)
- Collaborate with the Social Media Director to set KPIs that align with broader business objectives, ensuring social media efforts drive measurable results.
- Create and manage a TikTok content calendar that aligns with product launches, events, and key brand initiatives.
- Oversee the production of TikTok content, working closely with internal teams to concept, shoot, edit, and finalize engaging videos and visuals.
- Conceptualize, shoot, edit, and produce your own content for TikTok as needed.
- Develop creative, community-driven strategies that inspire brand awareness, user engagement, and participation
- Inspire and guide cross-functional teams to generate bold content ideas that elevate the brand and deliver impactful results.
Collaboration:
- Partner with the influencer, creative, marketing, and events teams to ensure social media strategies are in line with company-wide business goals.
- Represent social media in key meetings and collaborate closely with the sales and product teams to shape social strategies that drive both awareness and conversion.
- Participate in brainstorming and strategic sessions to inform and shape content planning, digital strategy, and broader marketing initiatives.
Trend Monitoring & Data-Driven Insights:
- Stay on top of emerging trends, viral moments, and new platform features to identify opportunities for engagement and content innovation.
- Analyze social media performance, providing regular insights and recommendations to optimize TikTok content and maximize audience engagement.
- Monitor competitor social media activities, assess industry trends, and report findings to relevant stakeholders to keep the brand ahead of the curve.
Non-Essential Job Functions
- Assist with special projects or initiatives as needed to support departmental goals.
- Provide backup coverage for team members during absences or peak workload periods.
- Support cross-departmental efforts or collaborative initiatives when required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 4+ years of proven experience in social media marketing, with a strong focus on content creation and community engagement.
- Expertise in TikTok and Instagram, with a deep understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience in creating social-first content, including video production, editing, and storytelling.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
Team Leadership & Oversight This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Physical Requirements This role requires the following physical capabilities:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, twist, and squat to adjust or position equipment, cameras, or set up for events.
