POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Social Media is responsible for overseeing the social media team including Videographers, Editors, Photographers, and Social Media Coordinators. This role ensures the growth of all of the social media accounts correlated to our brand.
This individual develops and administers social media content that is designed to engage users and create an interactive relationship between consumers and the company, as well as collects and reviews social media data to develop more effective campaigns.

OBJECTIVES
- Drive follower growth, reach, and engagement across all platforms with hard targets tied to revenue and lead-gen growth for all social media brands.
- Use platform analytics, audience insights, trend data, and competitive benchmarking to inform social media strategy aligned with brand objectives
- Establish a "test, learn, scale" framework where all creative ideas (for formats, hooks, CTAs, and styles) are tested, tracked, and validated through performance metrics
- Develop reporting systems and dashboards to give executives visibility into what content is winning, why, and how this is informing the strategy moving forward
- Develop a trendspotting process that leads the team to convert on-trend, platform-native, algorithm-savvy, audience-based trends into brand-relevant content quickly including smart duplication of top-performing styles and competitors' wins'
- Mentor and manage a team of creators and coordinators to ensure deadlines and targets are hit for content creation by fostering a culture of accountability, iteration, and creative excellence
- Collaborate with the larger marketing team to amplify organic wins through paid spend
- Develop clear, platform-specific playbooks to optimize all channels
- Oversee the creation of content schedules that match relevant campaigns, promotions, and company events
- Ensure comments and DMs on all platforms (organic and paid) have been addressed according to brand standards
- Oversee strategic media coverage for company wide events and courses to ensure that the correct content is being captured throughout the day
- Maintain tight relationships with all third party vendors to ensure content is created and aligned with our company.
- Stay current with industry and social media trends, tools, platforms, innovations, and best practices
- Define and lead influencer strategy, identifying opportunities for alignment with key brand and organizational objectives
- Engage in internal company wide promotion of events and encourage team members to promote the brands on their personal accounts
COMPETENCIES
- Extremely proficient with platforms such as, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Tik Tok, and LinkedIn
- Ability to edit and shoot content via IPhone efficiently in order to create real time posts
- Understands how to effectively track and manage a content calendar
- Ability to optimize social media content strategically to drive results
- Strong proficiency and ability to navigate and leverage all social media platforms for company use
- Ability to navigate team and technical challenges during events
- Strong understanding of how to leverage data to optimize social media content and results
- Understanding of Videography/Photography best practices in order to give feedback on edits and develop high quality content
- Ability to understand the big picture as well as nuances of all social media platforms
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field preferred
- At least 4 years' experience in a Social Media role
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Prolonged periods of standing and movement during event days
- This position will require travel: up to 20%
