(Chicago/Hybrid) The Social Media and Community Engagement Coordinator will work with the Social Media team to support The Fellowship's social networks, online community and assist in driving brand awareness. This position is responsible for ensuring The Fellowship's online community is monitored, adequately engaged with and content is posted and planned according to social media best practices. Integral to this position is the connection with our donors through social media channels, especially in times of crisis. This position reports to the Social Media Manager and is based in our downtown Chicago headquarters.
We are seeking an individual with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations, or related discipline or equivalent experience. Minimum 1-2 years' experience in social media including but not limited to internships, practicums, volunteer social media work is required.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
- Community Development and Engagement: Support in the execution of creative social media campaigns honoring The Fellowship's voice, brand, and objectives.
- Donor Engagement and Support: Collaborate with Marketing and Donor Services teams to solidify, implement, and execute brand focused and approved communications to audience members both in posts and community engagement.
- Internal Communications: Support the documentation of internal strategic partnership-driven content through multiple outlets such as pre-produced videography, Facebook LIVEs, and other publications that funnel through the social media team pipeline.
- Scheduling: Execute the scheduling of all social channel's posts across 6 platforms and 3 brands.
- Reporting: Provide input into the reporting on progress against engagement, reach, and fundraising goals and KPIs in reports to senior leadership and implement learnings from results in day-to-day campaign development and execution, bringing IFCJ brand pages to the next level.
Technical & Individual Skills:
- Proficiency in using and navigating social media platforms, content creation and scheduling, online community management, and online advocacy.
- Knowledge of the role of social media in nonprofits.
- Basic knowledge of and ability to navigate Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and other social network analytics.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Identify important, actionable information and execute on.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
- Act quickly in response to new situations and current events affecting The Fellowship's activities.
- Strong attention to details and accuracy and to stay highly organized.
- Assist with creative solutions in response to changing trends, current events, and The Fellowship's activities.
- Familiarity with Christian and Jewish religious traditions, U.S. and Israeli cultures, and current global events, particularly in the Middle East.
- Must be passionate about the ministry of IFCJ and comfortable with prayer requests.
