ABOUT THE ROLE
We're seeking an experienced Social Media & Athlete Relations Manager to join our team. In this position, you'll be responsible for elevating our brand presence across digital platforms, managing our athlete program, and supporting our marketing initiatives through compelling content creation and strategic communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement on and off season
Create and publish engaging content across all social channels that resonate with our audience
Monitor performance metrics and provide regular analysis to optimize strategy
Stay current with emerging social media trends and platform developments
Manage daily interactions and foster community engagement
Identify and explore new social channels and establish a presence
CONTENT CREATION
Coordinate and plan photo/video shoots for marketing campaigns and social content
Organize and maintain our digital asset library for efficient access and use
Produce compelling visual content for blogs, social posts, and marketing materials
Collaborate with designers/creative partners and marketing team to ensure brand consistency
ATHLETE AND FUTURES PROGRAM
Establish and nurture relationships with our athletes and future athletes
Oversee athlete contracts, deliverables, and program expectations
Facilitate athlete content creation and amplify their brand stories
Organize athlete appearances and participation in brand events
MARKETING SUPPORT
Work collaboratively with the marketing team on seasonal campaigns, product launches, and special programs
Help coordinate and execute events including promotional activities, social meetups, and trips
Triage customer inquiries and feedback submitted via social channels and facilitate timely responses by working closely with customer support and other program managers
Additionally, this position will support the office manager with production tasks as needed, including mounting, waxing, packaging, and shipping products.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
2-3 years of professional social media management experience in the ski/outdoor industry
Demonstrated success in growing social media following and engagement
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Experience with all major social media platforms
Excellent written communication abilities
Experience with content creation including photography and video editing
Understanding of social media analytics and reporting tools
Proficiency with content management and scheduling platforms
Social media portfolio and/or production examples
Passion and history for skiing and other outdoor sports and recreation
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in the outdoor sports space, specifically skiing
Background in athlete or influencer relationship management
Familiarity with Adobe, Canva, Sprout Social
Event planning experience
Strong understanding of the brand landscape in the snow-sports/outdoor space
LOCATIONS
While this position is remote, the candidate must live in either the Salt Lake City, UT area or greater Colorado Rockies region or Burlington, VT are or New England region.
