The Role:

Gen.G Esports is looking for a highly organized and creative Social Media and Production Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the planning, execution, and delivery of multimedia content across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling through digital and traditional media.

  • Location/Department: Los Angeles Marketing
  • Position Type: Full-Time (Hybrid)
  • Expected Hours of Work: Mon-Fri, 9:00AM - 5:00PM
  • Hire Timeline: ASAP (will be closed when hired)


Responsibilities

  • Execute a results-driven social media strategy.
  • Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms.
  • Independently ideate, create, and execute weekly short-form content and media.
  • Attend events and produce live social media content.
  • Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create a social media calendar.
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends.
  • Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries, and comments.
  • Review analytics and create reports on key metrics.
  • Assist in the development and management of social media marketing and influencer marketing strategy.


Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (1-2 years) in social media platforms for a brand or organization.
  • Strong/developing understanding of various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) and their best practices.
  • Proficiency in creating and editing engaging visual content (photos and basic videos) using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (basic knowledge).
  • Experience with social media management and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Buffer).
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite Insights, Twitter Analytics, Google Analytics) and the ability to interpret data to inform strategy.
  • Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, technologies, and algorithm changes.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.


Highly Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of game and esports industry trends and/or gaming in education
  • Creator of digital content at a previous role or on personal social media platforms
  • Being flexible to changes and being proactive on recommendations to implement and make changes that sync with company growth
  • Ability to both work independently and also as part of a larger team
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite
