PRIMARY FUNCTIONS: Responsible for assisting the Marketing Department with the credit union's overall social media presence and day-to-day operations. Overall responsibilities include developing, implementing, and managing social media strategies that engage our audience, increase brand awareness and engagement.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: - Create and manage a social media content calendar.
- Create engaging social media and blog content (graphics, videos and written posts)
- Attend Marketing events to promote on social media. Events can be evenings and weekends.
- Develop and implement social media strategies to increase the credit union's online presence and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure social media content is aligned with the credit union's marketing and branding voice and strategies.
- Monitor and respond to online reviews, member surveys, and social media reviews, comments, and direct messages.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, tools, and best practices and provide recommendations to enhance the credit union's social media presence.
- Willingness to represent the credit union as on-camera social media ambassador
- Coordinate member communication.
- Maintain brand consistency throughout all marketing projects.
- Assist the Retirement & Investment Center, Auto Advisors and Oak Tree Insurance Agency with supporting marketing materials and communications.
- Collaborate with Marketing Team to generate ideas for external promotion campaigns and member engagement in order to support and promote the Central One brand.
- Coordinate content and materials for seminars, webinars and events.
- Coordinate and order marketing collateral and supplies.
- Assist with coordinating focus groups to gather feedback.
- Stay current on job related equipment, procedures and/or information by reading handouts/memos, attending meetings and seminars and other necessary means.
- Adhere to all applicable Credit Union policies, procedures and regulations.
- Maintain community involvement and participate in special projects/events, as needed.
- Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
Requirements
Education: A bachelor's degree or completion of a specialized certification or licensing.
Experience: 1 - 3 years marketing-related experience preferred.
Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Microsoft and Excel experience.
- Strong storytelling and content creation abilities
- Knowledge of social media trends and best practices
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience in short form video editing using native tools within social media platforms (e.g., Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
- Experience in curating and writing blog content, articles, and multiple forms of written materials to support social media campaigns.
