Job Title: Social Listening Analyst

Role Overview:

We're looking for a Social Listening Analyst who's not just fluent in hashtags and trends, but also speaks the language of data and insights. This role is the perfect blend of real-time social media intelligence and strategic media analytics, helping drive informed decisions across brand, PR, and content functions.


Key Responsibilities:

Social Listening & Monitoring

  • Use tools like Brandwatch, Meltwater, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, or similar to monitor brand mentions, emerging trends, and conversations across platforms (Instagram, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Reddit, forums, etc.)
  • Track and analyze brand sentiment, customer voice, campaign virality, and competitor activities
  • Identify potential PR crises, advocates, and brand detractors in real time

Analytics & Insights Reporting

  • Create weekly/monthly reports on brand health, share of voice, engagement spikes, and audience sentiment
  • Measure campaign effectiveness across paid, earned, and owned media
  • Work with cross-functional teams to recommend data-backed optimizations

Media & PR Analytics (Executive Analytics Flavor)

  • Track and report media coverage across print, digital, and broadcast platforms
  • Provide insights on key media narratives, brand mentions, industry SOV, and public perception shifts
  • Collaborate with PR & Communications teams to present impact reports to clients and senior stakeholders

Strategic Thinking

  • Present insights in a storytelling format using dashboards, decks, and visual data
  • Translate listening data into creative briefs, campaign strategies, and client recommendations
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new listening tools, and AI-led analytics innovations

Skills & Tools Required:

  • Experience with social listening tools (Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Talkwalker, Meltwater, etc.)
  • Strong command of Excel, Google Data Studio, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and social platform native analytics
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and data visualization skills
  • Ability to collaborate with creative, media, strategy, and tech teams
  • Bonus: Experience in media monitoring or PR measurement

Experience:

  • 1-3 years in a social media, digital marketing, or analytics role
  • Agency experience is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Mass Media, Marketing, Communications, or related fields
