Position: Social Media Content Intern (Summer Internship)

Compensation: Pursuant to Colorado Regulations, the compensation offered for the temporary summer internship is as follows:
- The internship time commitment period will run from June 3rd to July 31st
- Compensation for this role will align with current Colorado minimum wage requirements ($14.81/hour) and total $6,320. You will receive compensation biweekly per the Cardinal Group Companies payroll calendar.
- The total time worked each week will not exceed a contiguous five days.
About the Role: Are you obsessed with what's trending on social media? Do you love jumping into online conversations and creating quick, witty content? Cardinal is looking for a Social Media Content Intern to join us this summer and help us stay at the forefront of digital culture.
In this role, you'll monitor real-time trends, identify relevant ones for our brand, and create engaging content for Meta (Facebook & Instagram). You'll also support scheduled content for Meta and LinkedIn and help us maintain a fun, responsive social presence by engaging with followers in the comments.
Key Responsibilities:- Track daily social media trends and viral moments.
- Identify relevant trends for Cardinal to participate in and create timely, engaging content in response.
- Collaborate with the social media team to develop and post original content on Meta (Facebook/Instagram).
- Support content gathering with internal teams for Meta and LinkedIn platforms.
- Monitor and respond to comments and community interactions on Meta in a brand-appropriate voice.
- Partner with the in-house agency to assist with social media performance tracking and reporting as needed.
We'll train you on:- Identifying and evaluating trending topics and viral content opportunities across social platforms.
- Creating engaging, brand-aligned social media content tailored for Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and LinkedIn.
- Monitoring community engagement and responding appropriately to comments and messages.
- Supporting cross-functional collaboration
Qualifications:- Current student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or related field.
- Basic graphic or video editing skills (Canva, CapCut, or similar) is required.
- Strong awareness of internet culture and major social media trends.
- Experience with Instagram and Facebook; familiarity with LinkedIn is a plus.
- Creative thinker with strong writing, proofreading, and visual storytelling skills.
- Comfortable engaging with audiences in a brand voice.
- A great work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a larger team.
- A performance-first mindset, optimizing campaigns creatively and effectively
- The ability to be adaptive, flexible, and function effectively in a high-growth environment.

Rare or regular travel may be required to assist properties as needed, attend training classes or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
