SUMMARY: Administrative Assistant reports to the Admissions Manager but assists all management in administrative duties such as pulling and writing reports through multiple software systems, answering guest phone calls and emails, assisting in the park where necessary, and writing manuals. The administrative assistant will also be responsible for assisting guests with reservation questions and adjustments, recording and distributing weather forecasts and attendance numbers, and other duties as assigned by the general manager and admissions manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: this list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

All job duties relative to guest service: greet, communicate, and answer questions.

Attend training sessions and practice training initiatives.

Assist guests and group sales with reservations.

Assist management in writing reports, collecting data, and presenting daily information.

Willing and able to assist in any Soaky Mountain Waterpark position, including receiving the appropriate certifications and training.

Strive to be the best through knowledge of products, policies, procedures & knowledge of techniques, skills, equipment, procedures and materials.

All other duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. At least 18 years or older

Experience with or ability to learn the point of sale system used at the waterpark.

Ability to effectively deal with guests, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflict.

Knowledge of general policies and procedures.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Two years of customer service and Microsoft systems experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Good communication skills - able to speak effectively to guests and fellow associates.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to recognize numbers, add and subtract two digit numbers, measuring units, comfortable calculating change.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Willingness to perform any required task within associate's capabilities in order to effectively meet the needs of the company/guests. Ability to get along well with others.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Driver's license preferred.

The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is exposed to outside weather conditions and heat.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS: Use proper safety procedures including bending, lifting, and safe use of equipment. Alert to resolving and reporting situations, obstacles, and objects that could pose a safety concern for guests, associates, and self. Follows proper procedures concerning protection against blood borne pathogens. Responsible for ensuring personal use of personal protective equipment PPE) to reduce hazards as may be required by OSHA
