Snowflake is experiencing explosive growth, and we're expanding our Global Public Relations team to scale storytelling of the customer success that is driving our momentum. We're seeking a passionate, collaborative, and proactive Customer PR Specialist to craft and share meaningful stories that showcase the real-world results of how today's largest companies and thought leaders are using Snowflake to pave the future of their industries. This is a unique opportunity to directly contribute to expanding Snowflake's market positioning as the leading platform for data and AI innovation within industries like Financial Services, Media & Entertainment, Retail, and Healthcare.
As the Customer PR Specialist, you'll drive impactful customer-first PR programs, from securing earned media interviews for our customers, to producing engaging podcast episodes for Snowflake's owned podcast, and coordinating customer participation in tier-one industry events. You'll report to the Director of Corporate Communications as part of the broader Global Communications Team, and work closely with the Customer and Industries PR Lead, as well as collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Marketing, Customer Marketing, Sales, Investor Relations, and more. You'll be responsible for identifying and capitalizing on untapped story opportunities, enhancing sales enablement, and expanding customer advocacy. As Customer PR Specialist you will: - Proactively source and deliver compelling customer campaigns that showcase the tangible business value of Snowflake's platform.
- Write and edit compelling press releases, pitches, and other materials for key media outlets, translating complex technical concepts into clear, impactful stories that highlight industry-relevant business value.
- Support the creation of industry messaging and content that resonates with target audiences and highlights Snowflake's market leadership.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets across vertical press.
- Monitor media coverage and generate comprehensive reports, providing actionable insights to inform future strategies.
- Act as a vital team member, providing proactive support and contributing to the collaborative success of our team.
Our ideal Customer PR Specialist will have: - 3+ years in public relations, communications, or a related field, ideally within the B2B technology sector and/or industry vertical solution.
- Experience building and maintaining strong internal and external relationships, including with customers, media, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content for both technical and non-technical audiences leveraging industry-specific terms and themes.
- Ability to work independently, while maintaining strong communication and collaboration within remote and hybrid teams.
- A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A genuine passion for learning and growing within the field of public relations, with a strong interest in technology, data, AI, and staying ahead of where the industry is headed.
- Familiarity with media databases and monitoring tools.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
