Links Technology is actively seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Software Engineer to contribute to our client's dynamic team in Englewood, CO. Our client is a leading firm at the forefront of advanced mission payloads, electronic systems, integrated aircraft, and space exploration technologies. This is a contract role offering a unique opportunity to directly impact a significant upcoming systems integration event. Responsibilities of the Senior Software Engineer: Define, design, develop, test, certify, and improve cutting-edge software products across a wide range of advanced systems.
Perform coding, debugging, testing, and troubleshooting of systems and software throughout the development lifecycle.
Collaborate with program team members to ensure the successful integration of multiple new components into a unified code base.
Develop comprehensive systems operational procedure manuals based on newly built system capabilities.
Write comprehensive test scripts for newly developed system controls.
Coordinate with the program's other Senior Software Engineers and the DevOps team to build and maintain the DevOps pipeline, ensuring high-velocity component integration and release.
Build out and enhance test automation capabilities.
Interface with the DevSecOps team to ensure full compliance of new system capabilities with cybersecurity standards, including testing and code analysis.
Coordinate systems needs analysis and integration activities for the system integration lab.
Qualifications of the Senior Software Engineer: Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
10+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering.
Thorough understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools.
Demonstrated knowledge of fundamental engineering principles and practices.
Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming Languages such as C and Java.
Experience with software tools for requirements tracking, including the Atlassian suite (Jira, Bitbucket, and Confluence).
Experience performing code reviews, static analysis, and managing library/artifact repositories and automated builds.
Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, and Spiral.
Proficient with data structures.
Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
