- Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
- Orthopaedic & Pain Management
- Independently Owned
- East Midlands
- No Weekends
- No OOH
We are proud to be working exclusively on a rare and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon with a passion for small animal orthopaedics and pain management. This role offers the chance to work in a specialist, referral-only environment without the pressures of emergency, weekend, or out-of-hours work.
About the Role:
- This is a Monday to Friday role focused entirely on elective musculoskeletal care, offering a well-structured and predictable clinical week.
- Mornings are dedicated to joint and epidural injections-all elective and performed in a calm, supportive setting.
- Afternoons include either first consultations (1 hour) or follow-up reviews (30 minutes).
- Many clients are self-referrals, having found the service via word-of-mouth, physiotherapists, or colleagues. Formal veterinary referral is required for all treatment.
- You'll provide a detailed report and recommendations after each consult, which may include further interventions or therapeutic planning.
- There is a growing caseload of primary referrals from veterinary surgeons, with strong repeat referral relationships built on clinical results and communication.
- Review consultations typically assess response to therapy or monitor clinical progression, supporting long-term care and outcomes.
What We're Looking For:
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon with an interest in orthopaedics, pain management, or musculoskeletal medicine.
- Experience in performing or supporting joint/epidural injections is ideal, though training is available.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, evidence-based approach to clinical decision-making.
- Someone who thrives in a structured, non-emergency setting focused on patient outcomes and client trust.
The Offer:
- Up to £55,000 salary, with a 10% bonus based on clear KPIs and financial milestones.
- No weekends, no OOH, and no emergency cover required.
- Calm, high-quality referral environment focused purely on musculoskeletal cases.
- Based in the East Midlands region, with good access for commuting or relocation.
- Supportive, professional team with a reputation for high standards and compassionate care.
- CPD actively encouraged and supported in a culture of continual learning.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a vet ready to specialise further or transition into a niche role offering stability, clinical focus, and a truly rewarding caseload.
