Sleep Technician

Job Overview

The Sleep Technician position involves assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders under the supervision of a sleep specialist. This role requires a strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology related to sleep medicine.

Duties
Conduct diagnostic evaluations to identify sleep disorders
Set up and calibrate polysomnography equipment for sleep studies
Monitor patients during sleep studies, recording vital signs and observations
Perform physical examinations and collect patient history
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to analyze results and determine treatment plans

Qualifications
Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
Experience in respiratory therapy or a related field is beneficial
Familiarity with operating and maintaining equipment used in a sleep center
Ability to perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic results accurately

Job Types: Contract, Travel nursing

Pay: $55.00 - $57.55 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
