About the role
Our Skilled Warehouse Operators work in a Warehouse Operation assisting the team to deliver in all receiving, storage and dispatch tasks, ensuring the right products are in the right place at the right time for delivery to John Lewis customers and branches. This involves manual handling equipment and appropriate systems, while providing excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage stock coming into and being sent out of the warehouse to support all Partnership channels.
- Unload and load stock, accurately record deliveries, move stock within the warehouse, and prepare stock for deliveries.
- Perform all duties safely, with awareness of health and safety responsibilities. Note: This role involves heavy lifting.
Job Requirements
Applicants should demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent customer service and strive for excellence in all tasks. The role requires flexibility, supporting the selling floor and other areas as needed.
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in a warehouse role involving manual handling and movement of caged stock, preferably in retail.
- Basic computer skills for using stock control systems.
