Hunter Selection are exclusively partnered with a family-run business in the food industry, looking for a Site Technical Manager due to a retirement. This role will provide the successful candidate with an extended handover period to ease the transition into the role. This position is well-suited for a candidate from the food industry with a strong background in technical management. Role & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure maximum machine availability at minimal cost through effective PPM schedules.
  • Manage technical activities on site to comply with relevant industry standards.
  • Conduct regular reviews with team members, including performance reviews and training.
  • Facilitate stringent process and finished product controls via effective management of a robust HACCP system.
  • Provide input into technical specifications for equipment to ensure standards are met.
  • Maintain customer systems for specification management.
  • Manage third-party and customer audits and non-compliance closeouts (BRCGS, GMP).
  • Coordinate internal system audits.
  • Investigate customer complaints and rejections, responding accordingly.
  • Train and develop the QA team.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience at a similar level in food manufacturing, ideally with chilled high-risk foods.
  • Ideal for an existing Technical Manager.
  • Man-management experience.
  • Good working knowledge of BRCGS version 9.
  • Process/Product development experience is beneficial.
