Permanent, Full time, 37 hours per week (2 months on, 2 months off roster)

Serco is seeking a Site Support Engineer to join our team in the Falklands.

The role involves maintaining the TPS59 Radar at the RRH Radar site, ensuring targets, quality compliance, safety, continuous improvement, and contractual obligations are met. The Support Engineer will also handle non-technical duties such as heliops, bar duty, cooking, and site clearance.

Main responsibilities include:
  1. Supporting the Site Manager and Radar Engineer to achieve 95% availability of primary and secondary radar systems.
  2. Assisting with 1st/2nd line preventative maintenance on TPS59 Radar Systems.
  3. Supporting 1st/2nd/3rd line corrective maintenance on the Radar System.
  4. Engaging with the RAF customer and their representatives.
  5. Providing out-of-hours call-out support for radar availability.
  6. Maximising overall system availability in collaboration with the Site Manager and Radar Engineer.
  7. Managing tools and test equipment at the radar site.
  8. Controlling spares inventory and lubricants at the radar site.
  9. Performing non-technical tasks at the radar site.
Requirements: Skills & Attributes:
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to follow processes consistently and methodically.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Vehicle maintenance skills.
  • Inventory control experience.
  • Food hygiene knowledge.
