POSITION TITLE: North Site Manager
REPORTS TO: Strawberry Operations Manager
LOCATION: Watsonville, CA and Surrounding areas
SUMMARY
The North Site Manager shall be responsible for all of the the North locations which includes the daily management and execution within all segments of safety, quality control, operations, production, facilities, transportation, compliance, packaging, sales and administration.
The North Site Manager will have an integral understanding of every operation's costs, accounting, and ultimate impact to financials of the Company. As well as manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, agreements, and execution in all segments. The North Site Manager will have the right combination of experience, education, talent, and passion for their work as a key contributor to Pratt Agriculture's forward success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Experienced in Safety, Quality and Compliance Management
Superior people management skills.

Able to lead and communicate at a high level to Customer Support Staff, Production employees, Management and Customers
Technologically and functionally advanced skills, MS Office Suite, Software systems, Apps, Portals, writing SOP's and Navigation
General office duties, ordering supplies, scanning/faxing, filing, answering phones.
Coordinates safety, environmental, incident investigation and training activities as well as on boarding new hires in cooperation with the Safety Manager and Human Resources Department.
Monitor inventory and warehouse items. Provide input to management as to availability of stock, slow moving, and fast moving items, etc.
Keep Strawberry Operations Manager and Production Supervisor informed regarding problems or situations that may affect the overall production operation of the managed locations and overall business.
Initiate and drive investigation of customer improvement opportunities (CIO's) to provide timely follow-up and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
Approve departmental production and support overtime and monitor staffing requirements consistent with demand.
Works collaboratively with scheduling, warehousing, engineering, and quality to support and improve productivity and quality reliability through proactive production goals and standards.
Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities effectively and flexibly to meet company needs.
Critical Thinking, Forensic Troubleshooting, Pattern recognition, Trend Identification, and Problem solving skills.
Ability to understand and interpret financial statements.
Leads all manufacturing operations and shipping/receiving at three manufacturing locations with manufacturing department supervisors and production employees.
Works closely with Strawberry Operations Mgr., management team and locations as a team collectively.
Coordinates production in accordance with policies, principles, procedures and established goals.
Develops and implements plans for efficient use of materials, machines, and employees, both Pratt employees and temporary associates.
Reviews production costs, product quality, and modifies production to maintain and enhance profitable operation of plant.
Directs preparation of production, human resources and labor/costs records.
Responsible for meeting Central District budget goals per cost category.
Maintains positive working relationship with other departments (Salinas Mfg Plant, other satellite facilities, Shipping, Sales, Accounting, Customer Service, Safety, Human Resources)
Systematically reviews financial performance of the district to recommend to management opportunities for cost savings and sales growth.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Have the ability to travel between Santa Maria region sites as well as other satellite facilities and Salinas manufacturing plant.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages subordinate supervisors and/or production.
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED plus college and/or appropriate technical courses. A minimum of five years as a proven manager in light industrial work environment preferred. College degree preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Spanish/English Bi-literacy Preferred
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
The individual must have a working knowledge of case setup equipment.
This role also supports the supervisor's role of teacher/trainer for his/her personnel.
Cost issues in order to make daily decisions that will reduce overall costs and will help the supervisor find areas that require improvement.
Budget development, adherence and analysis.
Quality standards.
Regulatory requirements including but not limited to wage and hour requirements, environmental and waste minimization, company policies, and personnel requirements including OSHA, DEQ and EEO.
