A Site Manager oversees daily operations, fleet rental, fleet maintenance, tool sales and warehousing activities at a location in compliance with company standards to ensure fleet availability and quality products & services for our customers & trade allies. They are generally responsible for maintaining and overseeing equipment availability, inventory and supplies by receiving, storing, delivering & maintaining items & assets while ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Supervises and provides technical guidance to a team of maintenance and warehouse technicians and monitors their performance.
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor the progress of projects to ensure efficient completion.
- Train and develop personnel, ensuring their technical skills and knowledge align with industry best practices.
- Set team goals in collaboration with executive management and TFS functional department managers (Fleet Manager, Warehouse Manager, Sales Manager, etc.)
- Keeps up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations
- Communicate with functional department managers to ensure products, services & assets are made available and delivered in a timely manner
- Fosters a positive work environment, promotes teamwork, and resolves conflicts or issues among team members.
- Workflow Coordination and Planning:
- Coordinates daily operations, including receiving work orders, scheduling tasks, and allocating resources effectively.
- Ensures that projects and repairs are completed within the defined timelines, while meeting quality standards.
- Monitors inventory levels of spare parts and consumables and coordinates timely procurement to avoid disruptions.
- Aerial Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
- Audit and report fleet/asset deficiencies and make recommendations for repairs to TFS fleet leadership
- Utilizes expertise in aerial equipment to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical or electrical issues.
- Conducts routine inspections and maintenance on aerial equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations.
- Coordinates repairs or maintenance activities, either in-house or by working with external vendors, to minimize downtime.
- Documents equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections accurately, maintaining comprehensive records.
- Inventory Management:
- Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock to TFS warehouse leadership
- Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment
- Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare reports on warehouse inventory, fleet tool inventory, equipment maintenance, repairs, and inspections, providing accurate and timely information.
- Maintain documentation related to equipment history, warranties, service manuals, and other relevant records.
- Communicate effectively with management and other stakeholders, providing updates on shop & warehouse operations, projects, and any critical issues.
- Identifies opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, or enhanced productivity, and provides recommendations.
- Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:
- Establish and enforce quality control measures to ensure site equipment is maintained and repaired to industry standards.
- Implement safety protocols and procedures and ensure that all personnel adhere to them to minimize risks.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, identifying and addressing any potential hazards or non-compliance.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, or near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.

- Comfortable using fleet management and tracking software
- Physical strength, stamina and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate degree preferred
- Three or more years of experience in a fleet maintenance/fleet operational leadership role managing hourly employees
- Proficiency with warehouse policies, procedures & systems
- Proficiency with fleet/maintenance policies, procedures & systems
