Wates Group is seeking a Site Manager to join our Wales region in Cardiff, focusing on delivering new homes and creating a lasting legacy for communities.

Wates Residential is a developer contractor involved in investing, developing, building, and selling quality affordable housing. We work either through contracting or partnerships with Local Authorities, Registered Providers, and public bodies like Homes England.

About the Role

Our Site Managers are key to our success, responsible for driving quality outcomes and maintaining high standards of safety, health, and environmental controls. They collaborate with Project Managers to ensure project completion to the highest standards.

As a Site Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Maintaining accurate site records, daily diaries, and weekly progress reports.
  2. Reviewing design drawings for buildability and coordination.
  3. Managing the flow of subcontractors' design information, assisting in producing and monitoring the MIRS, and overseeing subcontractor programs.
  4. Monitoring project progress against the contract schedule and discussing recovery plans with the Project Manager.
