World Wide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) has an opportunity available for a Site Leader to support our client with implementation, administration, and optimization of enterprise-level storage systems.


Site IT Leader

Duration: 9-Month Contract to Hire

Location: ONSITE in Minneapolis, MN (Address: 501 County Road E2 Extension, New Brighton, MN 55112)

The Site IT Leader for the DuPont Healthcare Manufacturing facilities in Minneapolis, along with other locations with related product lines, will have direct responsibility for the User Support Services to drive consistent IT service delivery for a highly profitable, complex, and challenging environment. The Site IT Leader's is responsible for ensuring 24x7x365 uptime of site critical systems such as WAN and LAN networks, voice services, servers and storage, manufacturing/lab equipment, as well as maintaining a budget that meets financial objectives and affordability. In the event of failure, the Site IT Leader is responsible for driving the efficient restoration of services and identify continuous improvement opportunities to eliminate risks through the RCFA and other data-driven processes.


The Site IT Leader must have comprehensive knowledge of designing and implementing IT infrastructure and managing network system including proficiency with configuring and maintaining network hardware and software, troubleshooting network issues, and optimizing network performance. Additionally, they should be familiar with telecommunications technologies and protocols, ensuring seamless connectivity and communication across various platforms.


The Site IT Leader will collaborate with key stakeholders, functional peers, and IT business partners, acting as the Subject Matter Expert for IT services by adhering to DuPont policies, standards, and industry best practices. The Site IT Leader frequently interacts with Site Staff, operations, and business leaders to address business needs and identify service opportunities. In addition to local IT activities, Site IT Leaders are responsible for supporting and implementing all Corporate IT directives, which include aligning with Information Security & Compliance policies, managing the lifecycle and upgrades of assets, software, and operating systems, and overseeing Intellectual Property protection and procurement standards.


The Site IT Leader will be responsible for the design, development and support needed to advance key digital transformation-based programs and projects and manage system upgrades in support of continued business growth initiatives across our core services.


This role will also be responsible for leading a diverse local team of employees/contractors, along with maintaining the relationship and engagement with external suppliers, vendors, and partners.


Responsibilities/Job Duties/Description:

Service Delivery:

  • Oversee continuous uptime for Site Operations, ensuring reliable service delivery 24x7x365.
  • Manage incidents and requests and develop metrics against KPIs to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Manage the efficient operation of the on-site data center, including servers, backup systems, voice services, conference rooms, and network equipment and all computing systems (i.e., manufacturing, labs, etc.)
  • Develop strategy for new software requests, development tools and application use, and oversee the implementation of applications and new requests or updates to software.
  • Effectively communicate site expectations and educate the organization and service partners (where needed) on all leveraged IT services, including outages and changes related to LAN/WAN, telephony, and end user services, etc.)
  • Develop and maintain an annual site disaster recovery plan for all IT assets and support business continuity planning.

Network Administration:

  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain the LAN/WAN hardware, software and configurations, security structure and best practices, file server directory structure, remote access, and backups (including policies).
  • Recommends and maintains security structure for information and systems access across the organization.
  • Maintains voice system including voicemail, PBX, and connectivity.
  • Create and update diagrams for network and personal computing systems.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain network structure and security insuring 24x7x365 accessibility.

Administrative:

  • Responsible for Site IT Service delivery, operational planning and budget management ensuring that it meets financial objectives and affordability.
  • Assist CRIM (Corporate Records Information Management) Champion in related activities.
  • Establish meeting cadence to communicate team expectations and review progress towards goals, safety expectations and ethics compliance, etc.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related or engineering field, with over 10 years of experience in IT operations, infrastructure management, and application support.
  • Solid understanding of business processes and service delivery, with a strong grasp of how business and technology integrate.
  • Skilled in IT architecture, network administration, and telecommunications.
  • Strong customer focus and proven ability to collaborate with individuals at all organizational levels.
  • Project management experience with ability to manage multiple initiative simultaneously.
  • Effective communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts for key stakeholders, business leaders and end-users.
  • Ability to lead and develop highly productive teams.
