We have vacancies for Band 6 Nurses who are already experienced and chemotherapy competent. We are a nurse-led service, providing chemotherapy, supportive therapies, and apheresis to patients with Haemato-Oncology and Solid Cancer.
On our spacious Cancer Treatment Unit, you will be able to rotate between the chemotherapy delivery area and supportive area.
You will receive excellent training and development opportunities, with the chance to progress within your profession. We actively encourage our nurses and allied health professionals to participate in research projects and pursue Masters and PhDs, with dedicated support provided.
Our nurses work a variety of day shifts. The unit is mainly open Monday to Friday, with fewer patients treated on weekends. We offer positions to both full-time and part-time staff.

Main duties of the job
To provide the highest standard of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of individualized, holistic patient care in collaboration with the inter-professional team.
As a proficient practitioner in SACT care, the post holder will act as a role model and clinical teacher, providing effective mentorship and supervision, and participating in the education and training of both nursing and non-nursing staff.
He/she will also take charge of the Day Care Unit as required, liaising closely with the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse. The post may involve performing the Clinic Nurse Role-coordinating prescriptions, blood tests, and confirmations in advance to ensure timely treatment production/dispensary.
