About the Role:Job SummaryThe Simulation Mobile Specialist will provide technical support for all simulation operations for the NGHS Mobile simulation needs, including preparation, maintenance, repair, and operation of low to high-fidelity simulators (software and hardware), task trainers, related inventory and audio/video equipment; simulation session programming, testing, setup and operation; program management software; data management and quality assurance; quality improvement project support; research project support; innovation exploration; simulator moulage; and standardized patient moulage. Serves the multi-function role of coordinating and completing preventive maintenance and repair coordination of Simulation vehicles, including Mobile Simulation Freightliner Unit. Will also serve as primary driver of Mobile Simulation Freightliner unit. Ensures that the vehicles are kept clean, and maintenance/repair documentation is maintained. Performs general maintenance on vehicles per maintenance checklists provided by LifeLine Mobile.
Minimum Job QualificationsLicensure or other certifications: Valid a Georgia Class-B license: Class B (Commercial); no recent driving infractions
Educational Requirements: High School Diploma
Minimum Experience: Experience with medical simulation technology or paramedic background. Certification for American Heart classes, BLS, PALS, and ACLS. Need to obtain instructor status of AHA class within one year of hire

Essential Tasks and ResponsibilitiesEnsures that all Patient Simulation vehicles are maintained in excellent, safe working condition. Coordinates and records all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on all vehicles. Reviews and revises the preventive maintenance schedule forms as needed. Reports suspected vehicle neglect or abuse. Maintains a supply of all vehicle specific fluids.
Performs and/or coordinates the cleaning and regular maintenance, including pre- and post-trip procedures for all vehicles.
Performs leveling, setup, and closure of mobile simulation unit at each simulation event, including recommended closure of awning, lift, and other equipment as instructed by LifeLine Mobile when unit is temporarily not in use during an event. Adheres to all recommended safety procedures, vehicle and equipment security measures, and safe body mechanics in performance of such duties.
Ensures that the vehicles are washed as needed and that the washing is performed within the ordinances established by the county.
Assists in continuous driver monitoring with the assistance of on-board driving computers.
Maintains organized, computerized files of vehicle maintenance problems and repair, and simulators if applicable, to include maintenance problems and detailed repair records. Works closely with appropriate vendors and LifeLine Mobile to investigate mobile simulation unit problems and documents findings/solutions in computer files. Obtains vehicle repair receipts for parts and service and submits the receipts for payment in a timely fashion. Utilizes warranty coverage if applicable for service and repair of vehicles and records the information.
Troubleshoots and repairs vehicles and simulators within scope of training and expertise.
Ensures appropriate set-up and timely changeover of rooms and resources between sessions.
Organize scheduling of the mobile simulation unit.
Performs preventive maintenance and coordinates repairs of manikins that are used on the mobile simulation unit.
Maintains instructor status for all American Heart classes.
As needed: Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate simulation training and education content and curricula across all healthcare disciplines. Assist with BLS, ACLS, PALS, PEARS, TNCC, or other clinical instruction as needed by the department. Perform all phases of simulation: developing & running scenarios (pre-programmed and custom), facilitating, debriefing, and evaluating.
