Country Intelligence Group is seeking an experienced Signals Analyst - Level 2 to support the development and execution of signal exploitation capabilities across tactical and strategic intelligence operations. In this role, the candidate will provide technical guidance to developers and operators, ensuring a deep understanding of signal characteristics at both the waveform and bit level for effective signal exploitation. The candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex system integration requirements, identifying mission vulnerabilities, and developing solutions to counter potential threats. Additionally, the candidate will oversee data collection, documentation, and evaluation of new or previously unexploited signal recordings while maintaining mission status and anticipating future resource needs. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to develop and deliver detailed intelligence briefings that assess system availability and operational effectiveness. The candidate will also provide guidance to signal teams, ensuring that mission objectives are met with efficiency and accuracy. Tasks Performed:
• Support a range of analytical products and functions to allow for development of signal exploitation capabilities
• Provide guidance to developers and operators of signal characteristics at the waveform or bit level necessary for the exploitation of signals of interest
• Oversee the development, deployment or collection, documentation and evaluation of recordings of new or previously unexploited data
• Provide analytical and operational support for tactical and strategic mission intelligence systems
• Maintain mission status on assigned tactical and strategic systems
• Perform mission planning and projections to anticipate future resource requirements to counter identified threats
• Develop briefing reports that depict assessment of system availability
• Provide guidance to signal teams in overall conduct of projects that are essentially signal related
• Oversee the development, deployment or collection, documentation and evaluation of recordings of new or previously unexploited signal data
• Support a range of analytical products and functions including operational support for tactical and strategic mission intelligence systems
• Analyze complex system integration requirements to identify mission vulnerability targets and develop multiple scenarios to resolve all mission threats
• Translate analytical results into briefings
• Analyze operational availability of strategic and tactical intelligence assets Education, Experience and Qualifications:
• Must have performed as a Signals Analyst supporting the Intelligence Community or US Military for at least 7 years (Required)
• Ability to support 8 hour rotating shifts (05:45-13:45, 13:45 - 21:45, and 21:45 - 05:45), including weekends and holidays, to ensure mission coverage
• Experience developing techniques and tools for collecting, evaluating, analyzing, documenting, locating, and presenting information in accordance with established requirements and priorities
• Familiarization with Signals Intelligence and collateral report repositories and ability to demonstrate the incorporation of independent research to enhance target development
• Experience with packet and stream protocols and other advanced technologies over IP
• Experience identifying analytic vectors
• Experience in the use of software applications and databases associated with Signals Intelligence target development
• Linux / Unix command-line
• Scripting (Bash, Shell and/or Python)
• Working knowledge of data and voice communications technologies.
• Working knowledge of network protocols
• Familiarity with commercial SATCOM technologies
• Basic Communications Signals Collection and Processing Course (450)
• Apache NiFi preferred
• Intermediate Communications Signals Analysis Course (451) preferred Other Job Requirements:
• Minimum Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a Full Scope Polygraph
