G.E. Mechanical LLC is a leading full-service mechanical contractor, headquartered in Vineland, NJ and serving all of Southern New Jersey. Family operated since 1984, G.E. Mechanical has provided a full range of refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, drain cleaning, and environmental services to commercial and industrial customers.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Shop Mechanic is responsible for in-house vehicle and equipment repairs, warehouse/yard organization and upkeep. They ensure a smooth and efficient operational flow of vehicles and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform light repairs (breaks, filters, oil change, etc.) on company fleet and heavy equipment (backhoe, excavator, etc.)

Track and perform routine maintenance on company fleet and equipment

Maintain the cleanliness of warehouse, yard and building grounds

Pick up parts and equipment from suppliers & deliver parts as necessary

Ability to drive trucks and trailers to off-site locations

Mobilize equipment and materials for scheduled jobs

Performs additional duties and responsibilities to help facilitate company operations

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience:

Operate forklift and heavy equipment

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Able to lift 50+ pounds

General computer skills and experience

Preferred Qualifications

Basic tool and equipment knowledge, use and skills

Strong mechanical abilities

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Verbal & written communication skills

Attention to detail and organization
