Job Summary: The Shop Mechanic is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and operation of construction equipment and machinery within the shop facility.
Duties & Responsibilities: - Conducts routine inspections and preventive maintenance on a variety of construction equipment.
- Diagnoses and troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in construction machinery.
- Performs repairs and part replacements to ensure equipment functionality and safety.
- Maintains detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, labor hours, and equipment condition.
- Provides regular status updates on equipment maintenance schedules.
- Adheres to safety protocols and guidelines during all maintenance and repair activities.
- Conducts safety inspections on equipment to identify and address potential hazards.
- Coordinates with project managers, field mechanics, and other stakeholders to prioritize equipment repairs based on project needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience: - High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred.
- At least two years of experience in a related role is required.
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to visually inspect machines.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
