Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Shop Maintenance Technician to join our clients team in Victoria, TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventive maintenance on our equipment and facilities to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and systems to identify and address issues promptly.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Disassemble machinery to replace or repair defective components and reassemble correctly.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Execute electrical maintenance tasks, including basic wiring and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and update programmable logic controllers (PLCs) as necessary.
  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks; experience is a plus.
  • Address carpentry tasks related to facility maintenance.
  • Assist with IT-related maintenance tasks; experience is a plus.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and materials used.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in maintenance roles, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting (3-10 years).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals.
  • Competence in basic electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with PLCs is highly desirable.
  • Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
  • Carpentry skills are beneficial.
  • Basic IT skills are an advantage.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions (hot or cold).
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Dependable with a strong work ethic.

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Pay: $24 - $30 per hour, based on experience
