Shipping and Receiving/Warranty Clerk- Mercedes Benz of Carlsbad Full-Time / On SiteSummary: Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Assists with parts inventory stocking and organization.
Essential Duties: - Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
- Determines method of shipment.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information on cartons.
- Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
- Inserts items into containers.
- Tracks warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement, and date on which part may be disposed of.
- Nails covers on wooden crates and binds containers with metal tape.
- Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto crates or containers.
- Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
- Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
- Routes items to appropriate departments/personnel.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Operates equipment to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving area to storage or work area.
- Disposes materials in recycle and trash bins as directed
- Completes health, safety, and compliance training as directed by management
- Performs tasks in accordance with health, safety, and compliance regulations and procedures
- Maintains a safe, secure, and organized working environment
- Completes manufacturer training as directed by management
- Deliver parts to Technicians in the shop
- If certified, operate forklift in a careful and responsible manner.
- Collect warranty parts, cores, batteries, and rotors from Tech bays.
- Shipping and tracking warranty parts sent to Mercedes Benz
Job Requirements: - Clear criminal background.
- Clear drug-screen.
Pay Rate: Pay for this position starts at $20.00 per hour
