Custom Truck One Source's Parts, Tools and Accessories Division supports the electric utility industry and companies by providing high-quality tools and equipment required for testing, repairing, and refurbishing PPE and tools.
We have a great opportunity for a Shipping & Receiving Clerk in our Wilkes-Barre, PA location.
Summary
The position of Shipping & Receiving Clerk will report directly to the Facilities Manager and will work cooperatively with other members of the warehouse and service teams to provide timely product inventory controls, as well as other means of support. This individual will communicate with the Supervisor daily, as well as assist with any necessary warehouse functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Equipment - Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with corporate safety standards. Complete any/all required training prior to operating designated equipment. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, pallet jack or other equipment. Maintain the facility's equipment checklists and keep materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following described work methods.
Operate a Forklift.
Inventory - assist in keeping appropriate records to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
Warehousing - Assist with any needed warehouse functions including, but not limited to, unloading trucks, stocking shelves, as well as any other tasks required by the Warehouse Coordinator.
Makes deliveries and pickups of parts and equipment from customers as necessary, using company vehicle.
Safety, Sanitation, Security - Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly workspace. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct daily operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
Maintenance - Perform or assist in building, grounds and equipment maintenance as directed.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Required Skills and Qualifications
Ability to learn technical material.
Ability to safely lift and move equipment up to 70 pounds between workstations and storage. Distances range up to 20 feet. Height ranges up to 5 feet.
The person in this position needs to constantly move about service departments as well as, inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc.
Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder or other equipment to manage, move, lift, or replenish inventory.
Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a phone, copy machine, laptop, mobile device, and computer printer. Must learn basic functionality in the service software
The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have inquiries about CTOS equipment. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
Experience working in a results-oriented, team environment
Excellent time management skills
Must be able to observe and identify equipment controls and functionality.
Ability to perform responsibilities at the designated site for designated hours as assigned, excluding holidays and PTO.
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in email, including telephone
High energy, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
Ability to work independently.
Requires a valid driver's license with a good driving history.
Working Conditions
Attendance - Work as scheduled with punctual attendance 7:00 am-3:30 pm, Monday-Friday plus any additional hours/days necessary in order to meet business demands
Majority of work performed in a shop/warehouse setting
Physical Requirements
The ability to bend, stoop and lift up to 70 lbs.
Frequent lifting (10-70 lbs.), carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; above 42", some bending, kneeling, crouching throughout an 8-10 hour day, and up to 50 hours per week
Ability to see things in close proximity whether through natural or corrected vision
Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 8 hours per day
