Job Purpose

The Receiver is responsible for the receipt of incoming materials, including processing the paperwork and physical disposition of the materials. Accuracy and timeliness of the process is essential to the success of the job. Other duties may be assigned or reassigned at any time.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Unloading of trucks carrying materials purchased by EPI
  • Verify that the materials received match what is listed on the BOL/Packing slip (part numbers, number of containers and pallets)
  • Verify that there is no visible damage to any container or pallet
  • Notify the plant buyer of any discrepancy found
  • Receive the material into Syspro following the work instructions provided
  • Ensure that the receiving paperwork is given to the proper accounting personnel
  • Move the received material to its designated location
  • Perform cycle counts as directed by the Materials Manager
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the Materials Manager
Qualifications
  • Strong basic math skills, including the ability to accurately count
  • Ability to read material documents, labels, etc.
  • Problem solving abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependability, including ability to follow instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with Syspro or other MRP systems preferred
  • Forklift and /or pallet jack experience
Working Conditions
  • Ability to work in hot, humid environment for extended periods of time as well as around loud noises is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to alternately stand and remain stationary with intermediate walking throughout shift as needed
  • Frequently position self to maneuver around material, molds and parts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and more with assistance is required
