To build upon a track record of growth and success, we are looking to add a new Shipping and Receiving Clerk to help with all shipping, logistics, inventory, and organization in our Dexter Shop.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Process incoming and outgoing shipments efficiently and accurately.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts to move materials / equipment.
  • Assist in loading and unloading incoming and outgoing trucks with products and support the Shipping Supervisor
  • Inspecting incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Maintain an efficient method for shipping, receiving, handling and storage of product.
  • Organizing spare parts inventory, including relocating items, assigning bin locations, rearranging bins and shelves, editing item descriptions, and labeling parts and locations.
  • Managing stock, including setting minimum quantities, placing orders, receiving items into inventory.
  • Shipping and receiving of all items, including new inventory items.
  • Filling internal and external parts requests, including preparing packing lists, packing and shipping.
  • Arranging repair of damaged items and tracking status of repairs and returned equipment due back.
  • Perform other related duties or special projects as required.
  • Comply with all aspects of the Trucent safety program, including but not limited to: hazard communication, PPE requirements and attending quarterly safety training.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics.
Position Qualifications:

Education:
  • Requires a high school education or equivalent.
Experience:
  • 3-5 years' experience with inventory control, preferably in a workshop/warehouse environment.
Skills and Abilities:
  • High degree of organization and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • A general knowledge of inventory tracking.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to apply common sense to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Perform the basic functions of arithmetic; add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
  • Ability to perform at the level of quality required to prevent losses in cost, service, production and/or damage to equipment.
  • General knowledge of the skill trades including mechanical, plumbing and electrical troubleshooting skills and including a basic understanding of blueprints and mechanical drawings.
  • Computer and software skills using typical office software and inventory management software drawings.
