What We're Searching for:
Qualified Shipping/Receiving clerk in our Chicago, IL Packaging Services plant to assist in coordinating the day-to-day activities in the shipping and receiving offices, including providing customer service to the truck drivers. Strong organizational, teamwork, and self-starter skills will lead you to success in this role.

Hourly pay rate starting at $17.50How You Will Contribute: - Responsible for inventory accuracy.
- Verifies counts as materials leave or enter the warehouse/production area.
- Work with shipping and receiving on incoming and outgoing materials.
- Work with customer service on issues relating to orders and materials needed for production.
- Ensure that all jobs are pulled and ready for the next shift's production run.
- Must fill corrugated/product requests in a timely manner to avoid production shutdowns.
- Work with receiving and switchers and unload trailers necessary to fill material request forms.
- Ensure that all scrap lists are handled, and all scrap is loaded for removal in a timely manner.
- Must ensure that all materials being removed from a production line are accurately recorded on the correct form, and that all materials have been properly banded and/or wrapped to ensure that they will "hold up" in the warehouse.
- Coordinate duties of individuals assigned to the warehouse area.
- Performs all other tasks assigned by Logistics Manager.
What it Takes: • High school diploma or G.E.D.
• 2 years shipping/forklift experience
• Read and write complex instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written; must possess ability to communicate appropriately and professionally with internal customers and external vendors.
• Able to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods.
• Ability to operate a forklift
• Capable of maintaining good attendance.
• Ability to lift 50lbs, walking, standing, stooping, pushing and/or pulling, kneeling, reaching, and climbing
