Shift: 1ST Monday - Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk at MGM Products Inc., you will be responsible for all plant functions in Conyers, including shipping and receiving all shipments. You must ensure that all parts entering the building are the proper parts with proper quantities. Then put parts in correct locations for use. You will help to ensure that all manufactured products have been checked for quality and all parts are accounted for are on the truck. You will also Inspect the quality and condition of new parts as they come in and ship out.

You will also be responsible for loading trucks for outbound shipments and operate the delivery trucks as needed. You will need to be able to pass a DOT physical and act as our second (back-up) driver.

Additional responsibilities will include:
  • Understand the Daily Operations of the shipping department.
  • Ability to interpret and disposition packing slips, both in-bound and out-bound.
  • Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
  • Move raw material through the plant to its dedicated work area as requested.
  • Count, weigh, and record number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.
  • Sends defective parts back to vendor for replacement/credit.
  • Preparation and shipment of outgoing products and prepare LTL shipments for our orders.
  • Operate sit-down lifts and telehandlers.
  • Process and disposition mis-shipments.
  • Check in new parts ordered daily.
  • Ensure the parts received matches the quantity ordered.
  • Preparation and shipment of outgoing products.
  • Maintain warehouse standards and cleanliness with daily and weekly cleaning of the plant.
  • Maintain supply levels and communicate needs to Shipping Team Lead by providing back up support for the Shipping Team Lead.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Promote a safety culture and awareness within their area of responsibility.
  • Identify and champion opportunities for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to work weekends and off shifts as required.
  • Document any inbound product shortages, damaged product, or excessive product.
  • Notify inventory control (Shipping Team Lead) of any variances in quantity ordered and quantity received.
  • Monitor tag inventory and produce inventory tags.
  • Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.
  • Will be required to operate large flatbed trucks for delivery.
Skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Operate forklift/Lull.
  • 2 years of shipping clerical/warehousing experience
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
