Job Summary: The primary role of the Shipping Clerk is to assist with coordinating and planning freight, including planning ahead with Logistics, Project Managers, and Superintendents for all the shipping needs.
Essential Functions: - Support of all TTI/FSS Company Safety Policies to ensure they are followed, and personnel and property are kept safe
- Fill out bills of lading, invoices, and other records for shipment of goods
- Examine contents and verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments
- Assist the Logistics team with moving products in and out of the facility
- Load and unload shipments, process paperwork, and coordinate with drivers and shop staff
- Assist in periodic inventory counts and audits
Additional Duties: - Verify and mark materials on loads which may require climbing on trailers
Quality Standards - Keep track of shipments and maintain organized databases
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Adhere to all safety requirements and protocols
Teamwork Teamwork is essential in this position and the Assistant Shop Superintendent must have a positive attitude and be able to work effectively with all departments, managers, and staff.
Actively participate in Safety meetings and promote company safety culture while working closely with the safety department.

Education and/or Experience - High School Diploma
- 3+ years of experience in shipping/receiving administration
Must be able to communicate professionally and show respect both orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, other departments, and managers.
Reporting Reports to facility Logistics Manager and works with all shop level Superintendents.
