ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Inbound/Outbound Freight

Check in all loads by appointment times, time stamp, process, and direct to correct dock door in the warehouse in communication with the forklift operators and supervisors. Communicate any load shortages, damages, variances, or returns as well as late loads to internal and external customers. Organize preload orders with supervisor and ensure they are prioritized by delivery time and date. Work with the Repack team and advise of any product needed off the repack lines for shipment, communicate possible delays to internal/external customers.

Safety: Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards. Ensure all truck drivers are aware of facility rules and processes prior to them getting a dock door.

Documentation

Ensure the accuracy of all receiving and shipping documents. Gather and maintain all data and records relative to shipping and receiving activities. Enter data into system as needed. Ensure that receiving accounts match packing list and purchase orders and that shipping accounts match picking documents. Assist in revolving any discrepancies. Collect all documents with any discrepancies and ensure they are directed to the inventory manager's attention.

Other Duties

Provide any information regarding shipped or received loads to internal customer. File previous day's documentation as needed. Understand the Warehouse facility layout to ensure loads are placed closest to product in warehouse. Track, enter, and keep up with multiple reports / logs on a daily basis.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Packages orders for out-of-town shipments.
  2. General filing and office organization
  3. Populating spreadsheets or researching data as requested
  4. Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management.
  5. Punctuality and regular attendance is mandatory.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Primarily work is performed in an office within a warehouse, however not limited to other activities such as daily yard checks or going on the warehouse floor to check product with possible issues.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

General knowledge of warehouse procedures and basic computer skills (Work, Excel, Microsoft office, and Outlook)
