Job Title: Shipping Clerk Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will coordinate and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments, provide excellent customer service, manage shipment documentation, and support the logistics and operations team. Responsibilities - Coordinate and monitor incoming and outgoing shipments daily.
- Provide excellent customer service and timely communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
- Manage pre-advise documentation and arrival notices; update shipment status in TMS/ERP systems.
- Track and resolve delays, discrepancies, or issues with deliveries and pickups.
- Generate commercial invoices, packing slips, and customs documentation.
- Validate and input trucking, drayage, and ancillary charges for billing.
- Collaborate with the billing department to ensure accurate invoicing and timely payment processing.
- Maintain compliance with Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) procedures and documentation requirements.
- Generate FTZ reports, reconcile inventory, and assist with audits or CBP compliance inquiries.
- Support the Logistics Manager and Operations leadership with reporting and process improvements.
- Help transition operational functions into ERP/TMS systems.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and uphold all company policies.
Essential Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and TMS/ERP platforms.
- Excellent email and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Experience with shipping and receiving processes.
- Knowledge of FedEx and UPS systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in logistics, supply chain, or warehousing strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with FTZ regulations and compliance practices is a plus.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Work Environment The work environment is a standard distribution center with a schedule of Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays. The first shift typically starts at 8 am and ends at 4:30 pm, but availability from 6 am to 5:30 pm is required. The role includes an average of 10 hours of overtime per week.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fontana, California.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.50/hr.
