Job DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEW A full-time position responsible for monitoring daily outbound loads, ensuring accurate and timely completion of shipments to meet customer delivery commitments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Prioritize and stage all shipments according to schedule, ensuring readiness for loading by the required times to meet customer delivery deadline
- Collaborate with the production team to communicate shipment priorities, resolve carton shortages, and proactively address potential delays.
- Enforce adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- Provide regular status updates to the traffic team regarding shipment progress, proactively addressing any specific requirements or concerns they may have.
- Monitor staffing levels and communicate any anticipated shortages to the management team in a timely manner to ensure adequate coverage.
- Collaborate with the Shipping Lead to coordinate the efficient and timely movement of freight, optimizing resource utilization
- Provide a comprehensive daily handover to the 1st shift team, communicating any ongoing issues or critical information to ensure a seamless transition between shifts.
Qualifications - 1 year of experience in a high-volume distribution center environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proven ability to maintain accurate records and minimize errors in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Work week based on 5 days / 40 hours and overtime on an as needed basis. Position is stationed at the Distribution Center with no required travel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and customers
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office platforms like Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems, and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies, such as handheld scanners
- Ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
