Under general supervision, in a fast-paced office and warehouse environment, Shipping Clerk will play a key role in shipping TP-Link products to customers. Daily activities include but are not limited to scheduling pick up with carriers, creating shipping documentation, running freight quotes, tracking, pulling shipment documentation (physically and electronically), research freight claims, disputing shortages with customers, and other tasks as assigned. The person will be in direct interaction with shipping carriers, truck drivers, warehouse associates, sales support, and accounting. They will need to demonstrate a sense of urgency but also understand the importance of accuracy in their work methods. The ideal person will demonstrate effective communication and an ability to learn quickly and adapt to new processes and changes. At times, it is required to pick up the phone to accomplish certain tasks needed and they need to be comfortable with that.
Work Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, subject to business need.
- Schedule daily pick up using carrier's web portal, systems, and/or by phone or email.
- Creating shipping documentations for single and consolidated orders and updating warehouse management systems and excel sheets.
- Working closely with warehouse on obtaining shipment details for shipment quotes, carrier routing, and pick up scheduling.
- Track and research shipment status, request/pull proof of delivery documentation.
- Expect to pick up the phone and call partner carriers to schedule pick up, obtain delivery information, file freight claims.
- Research shipment discrepancies, work with customers directly on disputes and resolutions of claims
- Review, record, and track shipment invoices in excel and warehouse management system.
- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Detail Oriented with multi-tasking capabilities.
- Proficient with Microsoft suite: Excel and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in email.
Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors is a plus.
- Experience in Transportation & Warehousing - MUST
Preferred Skills - Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
- Detail Oriented with multi-tasking capabilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in typing Type 50+ WPM.
Required Skills - Proficient with Microsoft suite: Excel and Outlook
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in email.
