Job Title: Shipping Associate

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, A Shift Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Job Overview: Nesco Resource is hiring a Shipping Associate to support logistics operations for a growing manufacturing team in Chili, NY. This temp-to-perm position offers both full-time or part-time opportunities on 1st shift. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. In addition to shipping and receiving duties, this role includes tumbling and deburring parts for final quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while optimizing space usage.

Perform tumbling and deburring procedures according to instructions.

Record forklift inspections, First Aid kits, and fire extinguisher logs.

Accurately track and report daily production counts.

Pick, pack, stage, and verify orders for shipment.

Load and unload trailers using forklifts or hand trucks.

Process incoming shipments and match them to vendor packing slips.

Make occasional local deliveries using a company vehicle (valid driver's license required).
Qualifications:

Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Basic math skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide, and calculate percentages.

Forklift certification required.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Comfortable with physical warehouse and material handling tasks.
Physical Requirements:

Frequently lift up to 55 lbs; occasionally up to 200 lbs with assistance.

Regular standing, walking, reaching, bending, and crouching.

Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and repetitive wrist motion.

Occasional computer use; frequent handling of tools and parts.

Indoor work environment with non-climate-controlled areas.

Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions while loading/unloading.

Standing on concrete for long periods; exposure to warehouse noise.
