Position Description : Herdt Consulting is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. The primary function of the Shipping and Receiving Clerk, is to safely, efficiently and accurately gather and prepare orders for truck shipments as well as receipt of materials. Primary Responsibilities include: Package parts per specifications Perform the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Use UPS and Federal Express Computer systems Utilizes Navy ERP (SAP) Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped and received Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices Work with sealing machine Will be cross-trained to assist where needed: maintain logs, receiving area, driving, computer transactions, cycle counts, general shipping functions. Other non-functional duties may be assigned. Have proficient basic computer skills consisting of email, Microsoft Office software, electronic timesheets, NMCI (Navy and Marine Corps Internet) usage and basic database entry. Be familiar with the use of user name and passwords and the important of computer security.
