Shift: Day shift; may require some flexibility and have the ability to work an occasional Saturday.

Position Overview

Ultra Corpotech Inc. is seeking a dependable and experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk Lead to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the shipping and receiving department. This individual will ensure that all incoming and outgoing shipments are accurate, timely, and compliant with company procedures and customer requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a hands-on leadership approach in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate handling of materials and finished products.
  • Verify and inspect incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy against packing slips, purchase orders, and delivery documents.
  • Prepare and verify outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation (e.g., BOLs, packing slips, shipping labels).
  • Coordinate with carriers, freight forwarders, and vendors to schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and tracking of materials and inventory within the warehouse.
  • Supervise and train warehouse clerks and other team members, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all shipments and receipts in the inventory system (ERP or WMS).
  • Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits as needed.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in orders, materials, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and quality departments to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or logistics certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of shipping and receiving experience, with 1+ year in a lead or supervisory role.
Skills
  • Familiarity with manufacturing environments, materials handling, and freight documentation.
  • Proficient in using shipping software (FedEx, UPS, LTL) and inventory systems (ERP/WMS).
  • Forklift certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations.
Physical Requirements
  • This role is performed in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, forklifts, and fluctuating temperatures. PPE (personal protective equipment) may be required.
