Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Shipping and Receiving Clerk with a Manufacturing company located in Phoenix, AZ.
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Responsibilities:
- Verify and maintain records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare items for shipment, including assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping merchandise or materials.
- Receive, unpack, verify, and record incoming merchandise or materials.
- Examine shipment contents and compare them with manifests, invoices, packing slips, bills of lading (BOLs), and certificates of analysis (COAs) to ensure accuracy.
- Document weight and shipment changes, maintain shipping records, and track lost or delayed shipments.
- Communicate with the shift supervisor regarding shipment discrepancies, damages, shortages, or nonconformities.
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
- Record and report shipment data, including weight, charges, space availability, damages, and discrepancies.
- Prepare shipping documents such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders.
- Follow specification sheets and written instructions to ensure shipments meet requirements.
- Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine materials needed for movement or distribution.
- Arrange for carrier pickup and coordinate product routing within the production facility.
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of shipping & receiving experience in a manufacturing environment .
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) .
- Experience using SAP and Smartsheet is preferred.
- Equipment Skills:
- Experience operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and forklifts is required.
- Must be able to pass a tape measure test .
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
