Now Hiring Shipping and Receiving Specialist Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Shipping and Receiving Specialist to perform various tasks involving the movement of materials within our plant and warehouse. This role involves operating gas or electric-powered forklift trucks to move, stack, load, or unload materials, performing cycle counts, and using an RF scanner. The position also includes responsibilities in the metal finishing department, with approximately 60% of the time dedicated to material handling and 40% to other tasks. Candidates must be willing to act as a shop helper during downtime to ensure a full 40-hour workweek and should be comfortable using hand tools and possess mechanical skills or aptitude.
Responsibilities - Operate gas or electric-powered forklift trucks to move, stack, load, or unload materials.
- Perform cycle counts and use an RF scanner.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks.
- Work in the metal finishing department as needed.
- Act as a shop helper during downtime to ensure a 40-hour workweek.
- Use hand tools and other equipment as required.
- Fill in wherever needed in the warehouse.
Essential Skills - 1.5 years of forklift experience.
- Experience with cycle counting and RF scanners.
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Mechanical aptitude or skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications - Experience with hand tools and tape measures.
- Ability to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.
- Experience in inventory management.
- Experience in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform tasks in a production worker role.

Work Environment This position operates in an industrial warehouse environment. The role offers two shifts: 1st Shift - Monday to Thursday from 5:00 am to 3:30 pm, and 2nd Shift - Monday to Thursday from 3:30 pm to 2:00 am.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, Minnesota.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
