TITLE : Warehouse Admin

DEPARTMENT : Warehouse

REPORTS TO : Depot Supervisor

Position Summary:

This position will be responsible for administration duties related to invoice processing, carrier bill of lading, stock receipt process, bin location changes, etc.

Essential Functions:
  • Oversee the check-in of all drivers.
  • Prepares bills of lading ; checks items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
  • Schedule pick-ups with freight carriers per company's specifications and monitors to ensure pick-up and delivery deadlines are met.
  • Compares cost and transit times from different carriers & chooses the most affordable/reliable carrier. Consolidating freight.
  • Provide truckers with the necessary information and paperwork for the pick-up of these orders.
  • Communicates with sales regarding changes or delays in schedules.
  • Make certain that that shipping clerk(s) coordinate with the dock and the drivers what door they will be loading product in.
  • Coordinate with certain carriers that have drop trailers informing them of trailer number, seal number and paperwork procedure.
  • Ensure all paperwork is properly signed by truck drivers.
  • Close loads in the system.
  • Traces lost shipments and/or customer claims of lost shipments, initiates proof of delivery documents.
  • Communicate customer problems, leads, and inquiries to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain confidentiality of company information.
  • Generate invoices for products shipped daily.
  • Proof all data and make any necessary corrections.
  • Is punctual and consistently available for work.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Ability to lift/move 25lbs using proper lifting skills unassisted.
Additional Duties
  • Participate in department meetings and training as required.
  • Comply with OSHA Standards, and other safety regulations, to assist in maintaining the safety and security of the warehouse.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2 years in warehouse, transportation, logistics experience.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in Transportation Management Systems.
  • Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of the internet, email, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Pay Details: $17.00 per week
