We have a rewarding opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in East Farmingdale, NY.

As our Shipping and Receiving Clerk , you will perform a full range of order fulfillment and warehouse functions including storing and inventory of material (electronic components and sheet metal parts).

Location: East Farmingdale, NY

Salary Information: $19.90 - $23.50

Your Challenge:
  • Unload delivery trucks and verify shipments against packing lists and purchase orders.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
  • Record and document receipt of inventory, updating inventory management systems.
  • Identify and resolve shipping, storage, or receiving discrepancies.
  • Maintain a clearly organized receiving area
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including packing, labeling, and ensuring proper packaging.
  • Verify accuracy of outbound shipments against shipping documents.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and vendors.
  • Prepare and maintain shipping documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update inventory management systems.
  • Ensure proper storage of inventory in designated areas.
  • Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
What you Bring:
  • Ability to organize and maintain a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately verify shipments and maintain accurate records.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other warehouse staff, management, and shipping carriers.
  • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and other issues.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move packages and materials of various weights and sizes up to 50 lbs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one year of experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management systems preferred basic computer skills including experience with shipping software
