Job Title: Ship/Rec/Stores Clerk II
Client: Medical Device Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 months and 16 days
Location: Grand Rapids, MI 49504
Shift: 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM (M-F)Responsibilities: - Receiving processes
- Staging parts for production
- Cycle Counting
- Forklift use - on-the-job training
- Willing to work extra hours when needed
Job Duties: - Performs manual and clerical shipping/receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse.
- Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying, and reporting.
- Follows shipping practices, transportation routing, schedules, and requirements.
- Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment.
- Unpacks/wraps finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, etc.
- Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications.
- Logs receipt of items, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents.
- Reports materials shipped and bills of lading, posts weight/shipping charges, and routes merchandise.
Production Support Career Stream: - Supports manufacturing operations/distribution centers: assembly, machinery, processing, packaging, and/or distribution.
- Sets up and operates automatic/semi-automatic machines in production.
- Reports machine malfunctions and abnormalities; higher levels may recommend/make adjustments.
- Involved in shipping, receiving, inventory control, or storage of products.

- Follows operational procedures and equipment usage guidelines.
- Performs clerical tasks in a distribution center based on prior experience.
